Well its been almost 6 months since I broke my leg, but I'm super stoked to FINALLY be back on my red rocketships! What a long 6 months its been. For those of you who don't know, I broke my Tibia and Fibula April 27 at a Southeast Area qualifier for Loretta Lynns. Breaking my leg gave me a huge reality check. Not just on the moto side of things, but also on life. I never thought I took walking for granted until I had to use those crutches for 3 months! Anyways I'm back now! Naturally, when I start riding again we've been getting monsoons down here in south Florida! So much rain that sand tracks are flooded! Despite all the rain, I have been getting some good ride time in. I was up in Tally, where I stayed with a good friend of mine JP$. I had a blast up there. I've never rode up there before, the dirt is killer and so are the tracks!! We rode at some really kewl tracks...Action Mx, Southern Mx, and Fast Track. Fast Track is owned by The Barrett's and they take really good care of the facility and the track is fun! Other than motoin we just chilled, went to the gym, had some fun on my Indo Board, and Jess' mom took her and I to the nail salon and we all got pedicures! See just because we race motocross, doesn't mean we don't do the girly stuff! Oh and I almost forgot! Never let Jess and Edwin talk you into going to play poker at JCKC if you have no clue what you are doing! You will most likely end up like me, spending your dough and walking out with a big ol' handful of NADA!!
The Gold Cup series has been going on and I have taken up flagging as my new career! Hah I flagged at Gatorback and Waldo. Let me say I have a new found respect for the flaggers that sit out there from 8am to 5pm and keep us safe out there while we race! Well last week I threw in the yellow flag and put on my FOX boots and got behind the gate! I sure have missed that feeling when the 2 minute card goes up! What a fun race! I won and my friend, Lydia Greiner [The tru G], got second! This Friday were off to stay at my friend C-Murder's [Cody Smith] crib, hit up the skatepark and find a new tree to jump out of onto his trampoline! Then Saturday morning leave for Reddick to moto it up for the 5th round of the Gold Cup series.
Alright I'm finished writing my novel, so i'll leave you with this... Big shouts to God, my mom and dad, The Patterson familia, and all of my sponsors that stayed with me through these last 2 years when it seemed like there was no light at the end of the tunnel with all the injuries that I had. Make sure you check back often for updates!! Oh and check out the photo section!!
P.S.
Just remember that Aces can never have the same suit and never fold up trip aces! =P
Be thankful, take care, and ride red!
